Tristan William Kruidhof joined us today at 2:25pm after an extremely hurried labor process.  Mommy started having contractions a little after 1pm and they started getting very strong while she was in the shower around 1:30pm.  After speaking on the phone with the doctor, we rushed off to the hospital in a hurry a little before 2pm.  By the time we arrived to check in, Sarah's water had broken and she was in a lot of pain - as the nurses could visually see.  They hurried her in to see how far along she was and then called the doctors in (STAT!) to deliver immediately.  One of the doctors looked and mentioned "oh, we have a few minutes - lets go ahead and move her into her room", so they took her from the check-in room into a labor & delivery room where she gave birth a few minutes after her doctor arrived to perform the delivery.

We are very happy to welcome our little boy into this world with us and give him a loving home, complete with a big sister and loving family.

He is 7 lb, 4 oz in weight, 20 3/4 inches tall, and 13 3/4 inches around his head.  His eyes are blue and hair is lighter in color than Isabelle's was, but is a bit thinner and long.

After the wedding I spent a week with the Granos.  It was great getting to know Ruth!  Rafa stay there part of the time and visited us via Skype when he was back in Texas.  On my last day, I helped Charity piece together a scrap quilt for Ruth's big girl bed.

On my return to Austin, Rafa and I decided to use my birthday present from my parents to take a trip to Schlitterbahn, a nearby waterpark.  Thanks mom and dad!

Isabelle enjoyed this morning at the Aquarium.  We took her a couple of months ago, and today Nana Martha and I took her while Mama stayed home to rest.  She liked looking at all the fish, and especially the sting rays.  She also got a new hat at the gift shop!
